UK broker Miller Insurance Services announced that it has bolstered its marine hull business production, broking and account handling capabilities with the appointments of Heather Clarkson and Rick Kerr.
Both of the new recruits “have extensive experience of working with high value and complex marine hull risks,” said Andrew Miller – Head of Hull. “They are excellent additions to our team and will make a significant contribution to our development plans.” They will primarily be working with Miller and the rest of Miller’s marine hull team based in London.
Clarkson has nearly 30 years of industry experience in marine hull insurance production and broking. She has placed cover for operators of several different commercial vessel types including; tankers, offshore oil supply, crew & support vessels, passenger ferries and cruise ships. Heather has joined Miller from the marine hull team at Aon where she was Executive Director – Head of Broking, with responsibility for business production in North and South America.
Kerr is a marine hull and ancillary business production and account handling specialist. He works primarily on behalf of North American insureds, particularly offshore supply, tanker and cruise operators. He has over 25 years of industry experience, originally with Winchester Bowring and most recently Aon where he was Head of Hull Client Management in the marine team.
