The insurance segment of XL Group plc announced the appointment of Jason Harris as Chief Executive of its International P&C Insurance business.
He will be based in London and report to Greg Hendrick, CEO of XL’s insurance segment. Upon joining XL, Harris will also become a member of the insurance segment’s Executive Board.
Harris joins XL from Chartis Insurance UK Ltd, where he has worked for the last six years, most recently as Executive Director Commercial Lines for the UK, with responsibility for a diverse product mix.
Before joining Chartis (then AIG) in 2006, Harris held different positions with Chubb Insurance Company of Europe for almost ten years. He holds a BSc in geology from the University of Southampton and started his career working in the offshore energy sector.
Hendrick welcomed Harris to XL, indicating that his “background in underwriting and business line management positions him well to lead our large international P&C business.”
