Ironshore Inc. has expanded its international platform to the Australian market to provide access to specialty insurance coverages for large, complex corporate risk. David Rogers has been appointed managing director of Ironshore Australia Pty Ltd. to lead the initiative, reporting to Mark Wheeler, chief executive officer of Ironshore International. Rogers will be based in the company’s Melbourne office.
Ironshore Australia will underwrite a suite of specialty commercial lines insurance coverages including property, liability, professional, marine, environmental, and political risk through Pembroke, Ironshore’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000.
Rogers joined Ironshore in 2007, and most recently served as Mid-West Regional Executive in the Chicago office, where he spearheaded the company’s expansion across specialty insurance lines.
Ironshore initially will focus on Australian market risk, while also monitoring business development opportunity in the broader South East Asian region.
