The Bermuda-based Everest Re Group has appointed Jean-Luc Gourgeon to the position of European General Manager, based in London.
He most recently served as the Chief Underwriting Officer for PARIS RE Group and CEO of PARIS RE France, having spent more than 20 years in various roles at PARIS RE and its predecessor companies. His responsibilities included underwriting and product development across various classes of business and territories.
Mark de Saram, CEO of Everest Re Bermuda, (Ltd), commented: “I am delighted to have someone of Jean-Luc’s proven ability, breadth of experience and market profile joining us. I have no doubt about the contribution he will make to the development and continued success of our European operations. My colleagues and I are very much looking forward to working with him”.
Gourgeon is a graduate of the Institut d’脡tudes Politiques de Paris and has a Masters degree in mechanics from 脡cole Centrale de Lyon/Institut National des Sciences Appliqu茅es/Universit茅 Claude Bernard.
