The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced that Peter S. Rashish has been named the new vice president for Europe and Eurasia. He will lead the Chamber’s International Division in “crafting and implementing strategies to promote the interests of Chamber members in the transatlantic market,” said the bulletin.

“As an institution that’s built around hiring top quality talent, we’re very excited to bring aboard an executive with a quarter century worth of experience in U.S.-European affairs,” stated Myron Brilliant, the Chamber’s senior vice president for International Affairs.

Rashish will work closely with Gary Litman, the Chamber’s vice president for Europe Policy and Initiatives, to ensure that the Chamber is active across the full-range of U.S.-EU policies, and within the varied markets of the European and Eurasian region.

Prior to his joining the Chamber, Rashish worked as a senior advisor for Europe at McLarty Associates. He has also served as executive vice president of the European Institute, and as a consultant to the World Bank, the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Atlantic Council, the Bertelsmann Foundation, and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and was on the Paris-based staff of the International Energy Agency.
