Marsh’s London office announced that it is undertaking a series of briefings in major cities across England for law firms on how the current economic climate has changed the risk landscape, and to provide an insight on the insurance market for risk transfer products for the profession, including professional indemnity insurance.
Marsh said topics to be discussed at the briefings include:
— How the professional indemnity insurance marketplace is changing for law firms in the current economic environment
— Additional risks and how best to manage them: changes in regulation, dangers of consolidation, financing during the downturn; employment practices, and practice management
— How litigation funding can help firms and their clients
Sandra Neilson-Moore, European Practice Leader for Law Firms’ Professional Indemnity at Marsh, will lead the briefings, which are scheduled as follows:
— Newcastle-upon-Tyne – 18 May, 4pm
— Leeds – 19 May, 12pm
— Manchester – 19 May, 4pm
— London – 21 May, 12.30pm
— Birmingham – 4 June, 4pm
