XL Capital Ltd. has appointed Fiona Muldoon to the expanded role of Senior Vice President and Corporate Strategy, Development and Planning Officer. She previously served as Senior VP and Financial Planning Officer for the Company. In her new role, she will report to XL’s Chief of Staff Fiona E. Luck, who is also serving as XL’s interim Chief Financial Officer.
Muldoon’s new responsibilities include “assessing potential corporate development opportunities; coordinating the due diligence of corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate partnerships; and providing general financial advisory services to the executive management team, with respect to strategy, forecasting, planning and variance reporting activities of the Company,” the bulletin explained.
Muldoon joined XL Europe Ltd. in February 1993. She has held various progressively senior leadership positions during her 14-year career with the Company, including Vice President and Controller of XL Europe Ltd., Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of XL Europe Ltd., Treasurer of European Operations, and Managing Director of XL’s operations in Dublin. She has been Financial Planning Officer for XL since November 2003. Prior to joining the Company, she held accounting and auditing roles with Chase Bank Ireland and Deloitte & Touche, respectively.
One Fiona welcomed another, as Ms. Luck indicated how pleased she was that Muldoon had “taken on this expanded role which encompasses some vital functions for the Company.”
