Newark, Calif.-based RMS has revised its industry loss estimate for windstorm Kyrill to between €3 and €4 billion ($3.94 and $5.25 billion), based on recently available information.
“Windstorm Kyrill caused relatively low levels of damage over a very large area, covering 9 major European countries on Thursday, 18 January,” the bulletin noted. “RMS has continued to collate damage and loss information since the event, allowing the uncertainty in the initial loss estimate to reduce.”
