Willis Group Holdings has named Richard T. Hynes President and CEO of Willis Canada succeeding Wole Coaxum. The change becomes effective March 1.
Hynes, a native Canadian, has over 25 years of management and industry experience in the Canadian Market. He has been focused on “market growth and business development” said Willis. He also has “significant experience in relationship building within the risk management community,” the bulletin said, which has “has resulted in a high level of client retention as well as business opportunities.”
“Since joining the company in 2005, Rick Hynes has done an outstanding job as Managing Partner of our Toronto office, which positions him well for his transition to President and CEO,” noted Don Bailey, CEO of Willis North America. “Rick has the leadership qualities and determination to take Canada into the next chapter and we are pleased to have him on our team.”
Willis Chairman and CEO Joe Plumeri expressed his appreciation for the contributions Coaxum has made for the Company. He noted that Coaxum had “successfully overseen Willis Canada in addition to serving us well in several senior roles with Willis North America Retail and throughout the Company. We wish him all the best for the future.”
