Bermuda-based PartnerRe announced that it has reprinted its research report, “Floods – Causes, Effects and Risk Assessment, ” following the devastating flooding in Europe in August.
Originally published in 1997, the study offers a descriptive guide to assessing flood perils, taking a comprehensive look at the assessment of risk, hazard, vulnerability and flood protection.
” The new edition includes a comprehensive overview of the European Flood of 2002, looking at the meteorological aspects and the scale and type of losses in the most-affected areas, as well as an updated review of the effects of climate change,” said the announcement.
PartnerRe’s President and CEO, Patrick Thiele, commented, “We have chosen to reprint this publication in our continued spirit of helping insurers to evaluate and differentiate these increasingly complex risks. As a provider of risk assumption products to insurers, PartnerRe will continue to address issues vital to its customers through information exchange.”
More information about the study is available on the Company’s website, www.partnerre.com.
