PXRE Group Ltd. announced that Guy D. Hengesbaugh has joined the Company as president of the Company’s Bermuda reinsurance company, PXRE Reinsurance Ltd., and executive vice president of PXRE Group.
In these roles, he will be in charge of underwriting for PXRE Reinsurance Ltd. and will focus on building the company’s Bermuda reinsurance operations.
Hengesbaugh was formerly president and CEO of LaSalle Re Holdings Limited, which, prior to its merger with Trenwick Group, Ltd. in Sept. 2000 specialized in property and casualty reinsurance on a worldwide basis, with a focus on property catastrophe excess of loss contracts.
