Holland’s ING announced plans to merge its Chilean subsidiary ING Seguros de Vida with Aetna Chile Seguros de Vida, which it recently acquired as part of its takeover of Aetna’s international business.
The plan needs the approval of Chilean securities and insurance regulators, and will require an increase in ING Seguros’ capital to enable it to absorb Aetna Chile.
