Zurich North America, the U.S. subsidiary of the Anglo-Swiss Zurich Financial Services Group, announced that it was expanding the role of “its Zurich Emerging Markets Solutions group’s political risk and credit insurance offering to the Asian market.”
“The expansion allows the group to provide regional contacts as well as have expertise in underwriting political risk insurance,”said the announcement. The move will also increase the U.S. company’s cooperation with other Zurich subsidiaries.
Zurich appointed Patricia Tse, who holds MA’s from Cambridge and Columbia, to head “an operation in Hong Kong to deliver political risk insurance solutions to financial institutions, international infrastructure developers and fixed income securities investors in this market.” She will coordinate with Zurich branches in Singapore and Japan.
