Merchants Insurance Group, headquartered in Buffalo, New York, appointed Pete Walkup as its vice president, head of claims. Walkup oversees all claims operations, with an emphasis on operational performance, process modernization, and delivering value to policyholders.

Walkup joins Merchants from Donegal Insurance, where he served as vice president, claims operations, since 2022. He has over 28 years of claims experience, including senior leadership roles at Kemper Insurance and State Farm Insurance.
