Insurance operations specialist ReSource Pro has acquired Propellint, a Hartford, Connecticut-based tech services firm that specializes in implementing claims administration software.
The deal expands New York-based ReSource Pro’s technology services portfolio with implementation and support capabilities.
Propellint was founded in 2020 by Jason McHugh and Tom Jaspering.
The company said the acquisition expands the company’s ability to assist with complex data migrations and core system implementations, complementing its workflow optimization and transformation services. In addition to expanding its tech services and support capabilities, Propellint also enhances its vendor-neutral approach to core system modernization.
Dan Epstein, chief executive officer of ReSource Pro, noted the acquisition builds on its earlier integration of Helix Agency Services, which it bought in 2024.
The Hekix acquisition followed a string of acquisitions. In 2021, ReSource Pro acquired two strategic advisory and management consulting firms, Strategy Meets Action and The Nolan Co. as well as Insurance Licensing Services. In 2022, it added towerIQ, a property/casualty insurance technology platform.
Private equity firm Kelso & Co. took a majority interest in ReSource Pro in late 2021.
Resource Pro, which was founded in 2003, offers advisory services, business process management optimization, and data and technology services. It serves carriers, brokers, wholesalers, and managing general agents with a team of 11,000+ employees.
