Authorities say a 24-year-old construction worker was killed in an elevator mishap in Manhattan.
It happened Thursday afternoon at a building on Broadway between 29th and 30th streets. Police say the worker was inside a construction elevator that was approaching the 33rd floor when he was crushed by a “metal saddle that was protruding from the elevator shaft.”
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
