Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has expanded its Entertainment division with the appointment of four key hires, based in New York City.
Allianz Group said this new team in New York City represents a critical step and investment in the expansion of its Entertainment group in North America; the group currently has established offices in Burbank and Toronto.
“As our business grows, it’s now time to establish ourselves beyond Burbank and into New York, and I am delighted to welcome these well-respected professionals to AGCS,” said Sue McGuirl, North American head of Entertainment for AGCS.
Wanda Phillips comes to AGCS as team leader, responsible for the New York underwriting group, reporting to McGuirl.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Phillips will add her entertainment underwriting expertise and management skills to the business. Her career includes senior underwriting and management positions at Entertainment Brokers International, Aon, Chubb and OneBeacon Entertainment.
Maryanne Aust has been appointed executive underwriter and brings nearly three decades of experience with touring performers and live events.
Spyros Cuison also joins as executive underwriter with a background in venues, events, production services and live events.
Ryan McFadden will serve as senior underwriter, bringing to his new role experience in property and inland marine underwriting.
