SterlingRisk, a national insurance brokerage based in Woodbury, New York, has hired Barry Wolf as executive vice president of the aviation division.
Wolf will be responsible for developing the firm’s Aircraft Leasing/Financing and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) insurance portfolio. He will oversee new business account strategy as well as portfolio management with key carrier partners. In addition, he will work closely with SterlingRisk’s existing aviation and commercial lines teams.
Wolf joins SterlingRisk with over 32 years of insurance risk management experience in commercial aviation. Prior to joining SterlingRisk, he was insurance risk manager for International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC).
Prior to ILFC, Wolf held the position of an aviation insurance broker specializing in large aviation accounts for commercial aircraft leasing companies, commercial heavy maintenance and overhaul, and aircraft and engine parts resellers.
Founded in 1932, SterlingRisk employs more than 210 insurance professionals, with offices in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Utah and California.
