The NYPD is conducting a citywide traffic safety enforcement initiative over the next three weeks.
It started Monday and continues through July 6.
Police in New York City will be focusing on speeding, driving while using a cellphone, improper turns, disobeying traffic signs and failing to yield to pedestrians.
The latest crackdown is part of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “Vision Zero” initiative aimed at reducing traffic and pedestrian deaths.
