Privilege Underwriters Inc., the holding company of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies in White Plains, N.Y., has named Steven Oakley as chief actuarial officer and Mark Musser as chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
Oakley will oversee product development, rate making and analytics. Prior to joining PURE, Oakley served as chief actuary for consumer markets with the Hartford, where he was responsible for assessing and managing the performance and risks of the company’s personal lines products. Previously, Oakley was with Response Insurance, an automobile insurance carrier.
Musser will oversee the legal, compliance and government affairs of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies. Musser comes to PURE from Selective Insurance Co. in Branchville, N.J., where he served as vice president and general counsel. His experience also includes roles as assistant general counsel with Zurich American Insurance Co. and Kemper Casualty Co.
