Maritime Program Group recently appointed Dana Downes as vice president of the recreational marine division. He is based in Manchester, N.H.
Downes assumes the overall responsibilities for all commercial recreational marine business written with New Hampshire Insurance Company, North American Specialty and Chubb.
His experience in recreational marine underwriting dates back to the late 1980’s when he was a regional manager for the New Hampshire Insurance Company. In 1990, Dana helped found and run Marine MGA’s North American specialty recreational marine program, where he stayed until 2010. Most recently he was the director of marine for the Hanover Insurance Group.
Maritime Program Group is a program administrator providing marine insurance products and underwriting services to its broker network throughout the Unites States. It has primary offices in Westbrook, Conn., and Manchester, N.H.
