New York-headquartered Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc., has promoted Paula McGlarry to general counsel of Oliver Wyman Group, the company’s management consulting subsidiary.
McGlarry also joins the Oliver Wyman Group’s management committee and the Oliver Wyman’s global leadership team. In addition to leading Oliver Wyman’s global legal team and advising the firm’s leaders on legal matters, she will continue to provide counsel on acquisitions and strategic hires in support of the firm’s growth strategy.
McGlarry reports to Peter Beshar, executive vice president and general counsel of Marsh & McLennan Companies, and John Drzik, president and CEO of Oliver Wyman.
McGlarry, who is based in New York, joined the Oliver Wyman’s legal team in 2003 and was appointed deputy general counsel in 2010. She also served as the firm’s acting chief risk and compliance officer in 2011. Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, McGlarry was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
