Work crews in Providence are scheduled to finish pickup of storm debris at the end of this week.
The city announced on Monday that June 18 will be the last day for storm debris pickup.
The city says it will only pick up debris from the June 9 storm. Tree limbs and branches mixed with construction debris, garbage or other household trash will not be removed. Residents will also be fined if they place construction debris on the curb for pick-up.
Property owners are also reminded they are required to remove trees and other storm-related debris from their premises. The city will not haul away storm debris placed on the curb by contractors.
The city will conduct street sweeping once all debris is picked up in the hard-hit neighborhoods.
