The federal government is offering rewards to help solve a string of arson fires that have plagued the city of Berlin for almost four years.
The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and conviction could get up to $5,000.
Since February of 2006, New Hampshire’s northernmost city has endured dozens of suspicious fires.
Fire Marshal Bill Degnan says he hopes the reward might encourage people who know about the fires to come forward.
