The Boston office of risk and reinsurance specialists Guy Carpenter & Co. has appointed five new five new senior brokers.
Kathleen McCann has been named managing director. She joins Guy Carpenter from Aon Benfield, where she served as senior vice president, account executive and team leader responsible for property and casualty placements in the company’s Boston office.
Robert Race has also been named managing director. He brings more than 30 years of underwriting and intermediary experience to Guy Carpenter. Previously, he was executive vice president and branch manager of Aon Benfield鹿s Boston office, where he managed a number of key client accounts and was also responsible for market relations in the United States.
Thomas Perkins, who has been named senior vice president, joins Guy Carpenter after nearly 20 years at R.K. Carvill & Co., where he was most recently senior vice president. Perkins spent 12 years managing Carvill America鹿s commercial program business in Manchester, New Hampshire, and has more than 28 years of experience in the reinsurance industry.
John Reid, who has also been named senior vice president, previously spent 12 years at Aon Benfield, most recently as senior vice president. At Aon Benfield, he was an Account Executive and Team Leader, responsible for property and casualty placements in Aon Benfield鹿s Boston office.
Valerie O’Hearn has been named vice president. She formerly served as a vice president at Aon Benfield, where she spent the last seven years as a team member on property, casualty and surety placements in the company’s Boston office.
Guy Carpenter says the new appointments will help grow the firm鹿s Northeast client base and develop relationships in both the regional and national marketplace.
