A former New York City buildings inspector will spend six months in federal prison for accepting thousands of dollars in bribes.
Authorities say Dean A. Massari accepted the money to overlook regulations dealing with sewer connections in about a dozen cases in Brooklyn and in the Bronx.
The city Department of Investigation says the 41-year-old Mount Kisco resident was bribed between 2000 and 2003. Massari must also pay a $3,000 fine as part of his sentence.
