ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, has appointed Lou Capparelli to the position of senior vice president, Northeast Region for ACE Risk Management (ARM). Based in Boston, Capparelli will oversee ARM branch operations in the Northeast Region, working with brokers in managing new business development and underwriting activities, and serving middle and large account commercial customers.
Capparelli will report jointly to Ken Riegler, executive vice president and operating officer, ARM Commercial Accounts, and Jay Lefkowitz, executive vice president and operating officer, ARM National Accounts.
Capparelli joined ACE Risk Management in December 2002 in its Boston branch, where he was responsible for new business production and broker relations in New England and upstate New York.
Capparelli previously spent 12 years at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in a variety of sales, marketing and financial management positions. He began his career with JP Morgan & Co. in New York City.
