Darien, Conn.-based independent insurance agency Fisher & Fisher has merged with Westbrook-based Gowrie, Barden & Brett.
John Fisher will serve as president of the company’s Personal Insurance Division.
The new company will maintain offices in Darien, Westbrook and Enfield, Conn. along with an office in Middletown, R.I.
Gowrie Barden & Brett sells commercial and personal insurance. Subsidiary Gowrie Brett & Young specializes in employee benefits and financial services. Affiliated companies specialize in marine insurance programs.
Fisher & Fisher specializes in personal lines insurance.
