GEICO’s board of directors announced that it has named John Zinno as general manager of the company’s new Buffalo, N.Y. business location, and Greg Jacobi, as director of sales and service for the new office.
GEICO opened the 250,000-square-foot service facility in Buffalo’s Amherst area last December, and currently operates a temporary facility at University Corporate Centre.
Zinno previously served as assistant vice president for centralized services and president of GEICO’s Safe Driver Motor Club, Inc. He joined GEICO in 1973 as an administrative assistant in the company’s Woodbury, N.Y. office. During his career, he completed assignments in claims support, direct mail and the company’s sales and service areas. In 1986, Zinno was named director of sales and service for the New York region.
Jacobi began his career with GEICO in 1993 as an insurance counselor. Prior to his new position, Jacobi served as regional manager for planning and control, with responsibility for quality administration, licensing, transcription and other varied functions.
