Applied Systems庐 of University Park, Ill. has launched InScope Series 2, a hosted version of a system that allows insurance clients access to their insurance policy, billing and claims information. Because the new version is hosted, agencies no longer have to run InScope from their own servers. All that is required from the agency running InScope-hosted is a persistent Internet connection. Updates to InScope are administered by Applied, and data is securely stored on redundant drives at the data center. The hosted version of InScope is 128-bit encrypted, with a real-time link to each agency that subscribes to it. Other benefits of the new release are stronger Internet security, and a multi-threaded InScope Data Service written with Visual Basic.NET.
