Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt filed felony fraud charges against an Oklahoma construction contractor who homeowners said accepted payment for roof repair without performing the work. Six counts of violating the Oklahoma Consumer Protection Act in Oklahoma County and two counts in Cleveland County were filed against Harold Whitt, 57, whose whereabouts are unknown. Whitt, under the company name All Pro Construction, is accused of signing contracts with homeowners in Cleveland and Oklahoma counties to replace the roofs of several homes without performing repair work. Pruitt said home repair schemes and charity fraud typically follow in the wake of weather damage, and are the most likely scams homeowners will encounter.
