Driving Privilege

“It’s going to provide for safer roads.”

鈥擭evada Gov. Brian Sandoval said a bill allowing people in the country illegally to obtain driving privilege cards in the state was good for Nevada.

No Steam

“SCE would never, and did not, install steam generators that it believed would impact public safety or impair reliability.”

鈥擯ete Dietrich, SCE senior vice president and chief nuclear officer, defended the company’s equipment swap at the San Onofre nuclear power plant that eventually led to a radiation leak.

Good News, Bad News

“Recent precipitation across much of the West has delayed fire season by only a couple of weeks.”

鈥擶ildfire analyst Jeremy Sullens said the wet weather has delayed, but not averted what is expected to be a challenging fire season.
