鈥擲ean Tomlin, of Millville, New Jersey, commenting on dozens of proposed fee hikes for motor vehicle operators in the Garden State. The Motor Vehicle Commission is proposing some 40 fee hikes in all. They vote on the measure May 26.

鈥擫ewis Largent, who lives directly across the street from a five-story building in Lower Manhattan that collapsed earlier this month. Inspectors from the Buildings Department were at the scene, about seven blocks north of the World Trade Center site. The collapse sheared off the front half of the building, exposed interior floors and covered nearby vehicles in rubble.
