Yes and no.
I’ve been saying yes to some new things lately. That means that I had to say no to some other things, which is ok.
Every yes brings a no with it.
That’s a good thing to remember because sometimes when we say yes to one thing, we forget that it means no to something else.
Yes, I will attend your conference means no; I cannot work on some other project.
Yes, I will work on the project you need means no; I cannot handle the project that I want to work on.
This means that knowing what you want to say yes to, why, and for how long is critically important because if every yes means that you must say no to something else, the opposite is true.
Every time you say no, you have the chance to say yes to something that’s more important.
Learn to be careful with your yes.
