Job Summary:
This job is responsible for investigating, processing, and settling claims in the first party property appraisal process. Â This individual evaluates appraisal demands, works with internal and external vendors to complete the process, and applies coverages to the results. Â Please note this position reports to Cullen Shelton in Property 1400 Appraisal group

Compensation offered for this role is $50,000.00 - 82,542.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

A day in the life of an Inside Appraisal Adjuster:
Spend your day handling claims virtually from home
Handle escalated claims files that are being put through the insurance appraisal process
Conduct a thorough coverage and handling investigation of the loss and ensure the claim is eligible for appraisal.
Communicate empathetically with customers and help them through their claim process in a fast, fair and easy manner.
Settle claims with customers once the appraisal award is executed
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8am-4:30pm Virtual
You're a great match for this role if you:
A High School Diploma/GED or higher (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
2+ years of previous experience handling exterior (roof, siding) property insurance claims
Experience with Wind/Hail
Experience writing roof estimates (around $750 -1,000 total)
Have prior experience using estimating software like Xactimate for both structural and contents estimating
Value providing an effortless customer service experience
You enjoy the ability to work independently starting your day from home

Are organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Are known for clear and professional communication – both written and verbal
Key Responsibilities
Summarizes documents and enters into claim systems notes, documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process
Researches and responds to moderately complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
Notifies insured of exposure over the policy limit, organizes and reconciles bills, virtually inspects and estimates contents damage in a dwelling
Investigates, reviews, determines and verifies coverage/policy information, provides coverage explanation to customer
Conducts subrogation investigations
